has anybody got any pics showing where the water drains out from the targas . i need front and rear . if i can get into the drain route well enough im hoping to make a complete drain tube with no joints and possibly an extended piece to take the water away from the body underneath the car. i just need some outlet point pics to get me started.

cheers

Hi Andy,

The front drain tubes exit the A pillar and let the water out via the two gaps between the sill and the front wing,

just about where the fixing pionts for the wing are.

As for the rear, the drain tubes exit at the rear end of the rear sill section,

the tube should be visible through a half round shaped hole at the sill seam.

certainly not the best designed part of a zed . im looking to extend these out of the car with a length of copper pipe to a safe place . the first joint would be well out of harms way . ive got my rear sills to repair so im gonna make sure this cannot happen again . probably onto and across the subframe so they drain out in the centre of the car . im gonna get under the car and work out the best route

If you take of your side repeaters and look inside you can see where the drain pops back inside the car again, pull it off, fit a plastic elbow, fit some new 10mm tube and you can push it down so it comes out further forward of the existing and as low as you want.

This keeps the drain to just inside the wing and not the cars interior but also can be routed to exit where you like underneath.

Took me 20mins a side.
