Whiteline 'heavy duty' droplinks....my arse!

Quote:

Product Details

300ZX Whiteline Front Swaybar Drop Links.

Complete heavy duty adjustable drop links with spherical rod ends.

What a pile of shite!

They've been fitted just over a week and both sides have started to rust already!!

apart from the rust the drivers side is fine however the passenger side is ****ed!!!!

now unless Whiteline droplinks fit differently to stock droplinks and require more than 10mm of thread either end then I can't explain why in the space of 15m at a crawling pace, the thread would sheer inside???

incidentally the CZP links on the rear are spot on!!!

any ideas?

I had some front Whiteline droplinks and they lasted all of 2 weeks, due to mainly that garage who fitted them didnt grease them, so metal to metal rubbing, they wore down and rattled like a bugger, i replaced with some new oem droplinks and been fine since. If you want my old whiteline droplinks for spares you are welcome to them, only the rose joints are fooked on mine, the rest of the link is fine

Thanks for the offer mate, but I've just this minute ordered a pair of SPL Parts droplinks...I think I'll send these ones back to Whiteline along with some constructive customer feedback (I'm not sure that they'll manage to get the whole of the droplink up their arse but they can give it a go!)

Lol, they need to be made aware of the shite construction especially for the price they are.

stillen are just the same. aftermarket crap. your best sticking with OEM imo cannot fault them

I've had these drop links on for over a year and although the car hasn't moved around much, I haven't had a problem with them and they are still rust free.

Like Dave said though, If i did have a problem I would just swap them with oem ones.

I'm impressed with the quality of the SPL tie rods that I've just fitted and figured that the SPL droplinks would be just as high quality

These are the ones that I've ordered from SPL, they look a lot more substantial than the '****line' ones

Our endlinks feature massive 1/2” bearings to provide the highest load capacity for use with stiffer aftermarket sway bars. High misalignment bearings offer greater misalignment capability (65deg) than stock endlinks to prevent the endlink from binding when used with different adjustment holes on aftermarket sway bars.

Our endlinks are also length adjustable to eliminate preload on the sway bars, which can result from uneven settling of springs or uneven suspension heights from corner weighting.

I just hope that they turn up in the next few days!!
