been looking into replacing turbo's and the only one as yet that can offer boost from 1800rpm to the redline are these ihi turbo's(similar to what the 3000 gto runs)

also the will produce approx 400-500bhp on a decent motor!!

what spec's have you got on the garrett? t3 with t4 a/r's???????

what's the spool up like on them????

let me know taa....

p.s.bought the clear indicators of ya at billing!!,red one shiny standard alloys!!

p.p.s zedworld but they don't do them anymore

Hi neil, 400-500 can be obtain with normal hybrids, these ball bearing ones will happily produce right up to over 300bhp per unit, i.e over 600bhp, kick in around 2,600 and go on for ever and are a fair bit larger than standard so require a little more on the fitting side of things, will send yer specs over so you can check it out.

cheers

hi smithy smile.gif

just found a set of IHI's at £2050 +shipping and tax?

fresh from jpn(4-5week delivery)

is there any mods that can be done to get your turbos spooling up quicker

i'm trying to get spool up speed under 2000rpm and after about 450rwhp

any help/advice always listened to!!!

----cheers----

Neil, well these can certainly be had in around 7 days and a bit cheaper too, as for kicking in quicker, any mods really that improve the acceleration of the car, light weight flywheel is a must really to help feel the benefit, don't forget difference between 2000 and 2,600rpm is literally a second or 2, you can rev a car to 2000 actually slower than you can a car to 2,600 if it's got the mods, i know mine kick in at that point, there at least 2 others on this forum with same turbo's, they may kick in earlier depending on their mods, given the power output offered and spool up time quoted on the turbo's you mention, i can only assume they are fairly standard in size, do they require any mods to suit the Zeds manifold and down pipes ? to be honest if i was paying in excess of 2 grand plus shipping and taxes, i'd want a lot more than to be able to go up to 450-500bhp, even if your happy you may only go to say 450bhp your almost at the turbo's limit which in turns a lot of generated heat, i would prefer to have a turbo capable of running higher power and use only say 3/4 of it, plus you never know when that modding urge may strike you again biggrin.gif

ello, wink.gif

these turbos have a flow of 495cfm,and they claim 600rwhp@1.5kg/cm2 or 550rwhp@1.2kg/cm2

they are a straight fit on manifold recomends extrude honed or ported, any you get all the hardware even pipes to remove pre cats come with them!!

BUT if yours are cheaper (leaves me more money to spend on cams)

then i'm well interested!!!

how do these flows+pressures shape up to yours-----

Erm, so that would mean that, say a car does 0-60 in 5.5 secs, then there is the possibility it will only do it in 9 seconds??? 2 gear changes remember, so that 2 second delay adds up biggrin.gif

Just when you think you've found a new friend they shit on you from a great height....

If you want quicker spool up I'd probably remove the cats first. Obviously ceramic ball bearing turbos will spool up quicker than most.

If you really are looking for 600bhp you will probably need higher revs before the turbos kick in.

If you are interested, i'm selling my un-used HKS3530s

hi again,

i'm looking for quick spool up turbos,,

if they can produce upto 600bhp then thats even better, but i'm only thinking of around 470-500bhp(flywheel)at the very(repeat)very most!!!!!!!!!!!

---cheers---
