Yesterday the extreme wind and rain where I live hit us hard with numerous trees downed and even hedgerows blow down, the rain was relentless all day yesterday and the local area looks more like paddy fields! the wind was flipping scarey, we have large trees on our property and surrounding area and was watching them sway back and forward just hoping they would not come down!! then our power went off and stayed off for nearly 12 hours, no central heating, no light, no kettle! and of course no internet connection !! argh!! our flippping garage roof did not fair to well either, madness that 6 or so miles away where the workshop is was less effected!

Looking at the flood warning for our area and rain and wind forcast for tonight seems mad as presently enjoying blue skys and sunshine? looks like it may be another long night....any one else have it bad?

Not as bad as you mate!!

But the rain was relentless all weekend nonetheless - as soon as the b@stards announce a hosepipe ban it has rained every day since. I did notice lots of fallen trees and branches on/near the roads this morning though; but like you we also have a lovely sunny spring evening here!!

We've just walked home from the pub and it feels like early summer outside right now..... Unbelieveable!!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Yeah in Solihull it was bad.

Road ive never seen flow before were flooded, trees fell over etc..

The lead on the roof has lifted!

sounds like normal welsh weather to me. If you ever hear parts of Wales are flooded then you know its bad!

Not had anything as bad as that. But it has officially rained every day of April in Cambs. No rain today though, so far.

Not been so bad round here, just rained like hell all day yesterday, been mint today.....get yourself a cheap generator to power the house when the elecs go off, worth it for those one off situations when the weather goes ballistic!! a bit naughty but stick a 240 plug on the output and plug it into an outside socket and hey presto all the elecs back on :) or do it proper is the best bet

Or switch your mains off at the fuse box then plug it into a socket, or you'll be powering everyone else's house, and if the power comes back on, pop :)
