Indicators & sidelights UKvsImport

I.ve a UK car but I reckon the imports got the better sidelights with front fogs where the UK one puts the sidelights & indicators. Is it possible or easy to convert to import style?

    A number of people have done this. The units themselves are a straight swap I believe and the wiring would not be tricky if you're comfortable with wiring. If not, it's a basic job for a mechanic or electrician or there are plenty of people on here who could do it for you.

    Yes the imports definatly get the better lights conversion is straight forward once u have the units.Also on my 2 jap imports i have hooked up the red running lights in the back bumper and the front running lights in the indicators, I would assume the front running lights could be on a UK car could have the running lights added also. Also the best mode is to dump them god dam awful front side repeaters, what was Nissan thinking of when they stuck two hunks of faded orange plastic on the wings yuk I have converted both of my imports using BMW E36 Clear repeaters for 10:50 each look the biz Jeff TT

    When I took my side repeater off there was a hole in the wing almost as big as the repeater. How did you overcome this, unless the replacement repeater is massive?

    Jeff, did the E36 repeaters fit okay in the holes or did you have any hassles with them. I need to change the shite standard ones with some clear jobbies. Do any other sorts fit okay??

    The Bmw indicator are a straight swop size wize they are alower profile with a black surround and a white lens ,come with an orange bulb too, u only have to do a little conversion on the new bulb holder cable I will post a pic on my web site later tonight if u are interested how they look when fitted.Oh by the way dont buy them from BMW I got mine from a BMW parts supplier saved quite a bit Jeff TT
