I'll try to keep this simple.

 

Currently fitted:

 

stock injectors

stock ECU

MAF removed and replaced with 2 x independent filters (obviously lumpy and undriveable at the moment)

 

This week I will be:

 

*keeping stock injectors

fitting MAP sensor

fitting AEM EMS (previously run on a zed running 740 injectors)

 

 

my question is this:

 

Q. Is it possible to simply fit the MAP sensor and then replace the stock ECU with the AEM EMS but leave the stock injectors in situ untill a later date and still be driveable (ie. despite the EMS being set up for 740 injectors)?

nope ... u will need the map ajusting to suit the stock 360 injectors .... as the Pulse timing will be way off

are you using a map-ecu? if so 1,2,or 3?in theory you could set it to compensate for the small injectors,

 

i was about to do exactly the same as you, (fit map-ecu then change injectors later,)

I've stripped a VG30DETT before but never re-built one, how long/easy is it to swap the injectors (*the 740's are already in a '95+ spec fuel rail)?

I've just pick up a MAP-ECU2 second hand but never fitted with parts missing, can you tell what the resistor value is and what the spec ot the IAT(air temp sensor) is 2k2 ohm at what temp ie 20deg or 25deg as i'm trying to sorce the parts, Thank for any help
