It suggests to me that the vacumn pipe has probably fallen off or maybe split.

where bouts is the vac pipe? (1st Z, infact 1st motor ive ever devoted this much time 2...lol)

Look at the engine from the front of the car. Right at the far end on the right of the plenium chamber (The big alloy thing) there is what looks like a bolt coming out of the side with a tube coming out of it. That is where the pipe goes for the turbo gauge.

It's in the drivers corner of the engine bay. There will be a pipe coming off the long balance tube that links the two halves of the plenum. That pipe will connect to a small black box which is attached to the side of the engine bay, again in the drivers corner near the bonnet hinges.

cheers guyz, thing is im presuming that if the vac pipe is off, then there is no movement in the gauge? mine starts at 0 when idle then moves 2 +14 when i floor it.... so what does that mean? could it still be the pipe?

cheers jaz

4got 2 mention, the only time that i have seen the needle, slightly in -14, is when i push the accl a little and it sucks back?!?!? im confused frown.gif

Well your description is a little confusing, but I think you're best off starting by checking the vacumn pipe to the boost gauge sender.

The vac hoses are swapped round!!!! Only way I can see this happening. You need to get the car next to another and verify each vac line is going to the correct solenoid/sender etc....

Andy

thanx 4 the advice andy, as soon as i get another 300tt next to mine, il check the vac pipes.

aint there a manual that i could get hold of from somewhere?

If you can make ANY sense of the manual and get it right I'll give you a medal wink.gif This is probably the reason they are swapped in the first place!!! wink.gif
