As some of you may have noticed, Reluctantly I have my Zed FS.

As enthusiast forums FS threads have turned a blank, I may have to advertise to the riff raff err ... general public :pinch:

Were would be the best place without attracting too many timewasters and tyre kickers ?

I'm thinking:

PH - would be full of dreamers.

Ebay - unsure of fees for selling a car, imagine it costs a bomb, anyone know the actual costs ? (and also a lot of timewasters I imagine).

Autotrader and hope for not too many daydreamers seems the safest bet.

Anyone have any input or other suggestions ?

Wherever you advertize in the 21st century you will be plagued by time wasters .

Its part of the culture now.

i have current experience to back this up.......

after four weeks of failing to come and view, not sending the cheque they promised and said they had a receipt for!! Then finally delaying it further with a "bank draft" that never happened the lying git then owned up to having "money issues"

IE he hadnt got any!!!! I must of had 15 phone calls from his missus saying they were buying it.

Ebay will probably get your zed seen by the most people and if you advertise it as a classified add rather than an auction i think it is a set fee of £17.99. Auctions are around £27 but adding a reserve and buy it now for example puts the price up. Gumtree is free so is always worth putting on there. Pistonheads is another one but i tend to find you get a load of dreamers/timewasters. But that said the more place's it is for sale the more people that see it. I think your biggest problem is your never going to get what you want for it due to high fuel price's and people being scared to spend there money!

I have sold Many cars on Ebay (in fact I have one on there now) NEVER had a problem once.:cool3:

In the current climate exposure is king. As mentioned previosuly:

Ebay classified ad

Pistonheads

Gumtree

All zed forums

and as many events that you can attend with a big 'For sale' sign in the window

Wait for a really nice sunny day and get down to the beach to take some pics, preferably with a bird in a bikini draped over the bonnet (but that's just for the old folk on here)

I would agree with Jap Slapper.

I've never seen the point on selling on an enthusiasts forum. Everyone on the forum already has one lol
