This topic has probably been done to death, but here it goes.....

 

Following on from jeffs advice at zedworld on wednesday (new cambelt, waterpump and thermostat fitted.......thanks all at zedworld :) ) bought a set of standard platinum NGK plugs and changed them today.The irdium NGK's that came out were the ones listed for a zed, but look at the difference!

 

Cant get over how much shorter the iridiums are!.The engine is now running so much better throughout the rev range, feels more powerful and its cured my lumpy idle, so thanks jeff........i will be giving iridium plugs a wide berth! :)

I also told you not to buy them as they are crap in a zed:slap:

Strange that as i have just fitted a set of Iridium plugs to my zed to replace the platinums. Most defo running a lot better and no more lumpy idle. Or will they only last a short time? I went with the NGK bkr7eix .

Yes you did mate......but you know what young pups are like, they never listen!.would have saved myself time and money if I had :(, I wont make that mistake again :)

Were ok at first but havent lasted long at all.....would never use them again.would check the lenght if I was you, as would say if they arent long enough as mine werent the spark wouldnt be very effective.

I use that plug in every engine including the z been best plug allround ive come across

definately running a lot better now than it did with the iridiums in...........how can a plug thats too short be as effective as one thats the correct lenght?, and we're talking a good few mm shorter.

never had a problem and we run them in everthing

Its actually not to short its the same length as most plugs be it denso or bosch the platinum is a little longer than the norm so as to speak

ive run the iridium 2667 in question at 1.4 bar before having to move to an 8 heat range on an sr20 with a gt35r on it and higher on a 2jz with a to4r its a really good plug maybe it is just Beatrix lmao :)

My Zoe is a quiet one that isnt so fussy lol
