Anybody thats been to mine in the last couple of months, will have seen we've been keeping a car for a friend of the family as his insurance and tax ran out and he had nowhere to park it.

Ive though about making him an offer as i need a daliy and i love it, but he wanted £3500, which i think is too much.

Its been sitting under the trees so getting covered in sap and bird sh1t! Today, i thought id wash it for him and park it somewhere else.

I took some pictures so could help him to sell it.

For the whole time its been sat there (about 2 months), i have thought it was a 740. I opened the bonnet to find 2 cylinders missing!

Its a 728i with an LPG conversion. 125k miles, Sport model so has better suspension, wheels etc.

Out of the blue, he called today to say he was picking it up as he thinks he's sold it.

Having a chat with him, it turns out somebody has been messing him about for weeks, but wants it at £2500.

I was going to offer him £2500 but though it was too cheeky! I said if he's messing you about, i'll have it at £2500. So its mine!

Never have i bought a car from my own doorstep!
