Ten of the Best X1 is happening on the 27th and 28th July

http://www.totb.co.uk/

I have already entered and I am really optimistic to do well this year :)

When you add it all up it's the most perfect event for any driver who truly wants to find out how good they or their car is. It costs a measly £100 for the entire weekend!!!! That could mean at least 20 runs on the quarter plus the top speed runs. That could easily mean 20 sessions on the handling circuit over the two days. That's including camping for the weekend!!!

So instead of measuring your performance in cyberland by showing your dyno graph or the amount of mods you've done this is the chance to walk the walk :)

Not only that if we could enter a one make team with at least 5 cars we would all get given a bonus 4 points added to the overall amount and helping us to compete against the bigger and better organised teams :)

So don't mess about. Get on the website and pay your hundred quid and let's show them what the 300zx can do.

Don't leave it too late as if we can get a decent team now then it's an opportunity to help each other in the run in. I'm hoping that Slick Pete will be the gaffer and that he'll bring his slickie along as well :)

No 300ZX will "smash" the handling course.. Especilly a 2+2. They are too big and heavy.

The handling course is very much about driving skills too.

You'll note that I was hinting at the possibility that some of you guys might stop talking about how good your car is and actually show us. If you're happy to live in fantasy land then that's fine :) There were plenty of cars that only did the handling course actually so no excuses Mr Mad :)

I didnt know you can just do the one but whats the point in that :wack:

there is an excuse my car is on bricks in bits

Sounds good Bob. I'm interested for sure, thing I like is as long as it has a current MOT then it's good to go.

Will have to sort a helmet out.

Yes there were quite a few cars doing only handling and some just doing quarters. Ideally the idea is to prove how good the car is as an all rounder which means lots of compromise when it comes to set-up but there's nothing wrong with turning up and competing to your cars strengths. It is after all a really good day out :)

If all you need is a helmet I'll lend you one for the day :) As a matter of interest I support help for heroes and that's the only sticker on my car :) I might be up for taking passengers on the Saturday if they donate to help for heroes but I'll have to work that out over the next month or so.

Cheers for the offer Bob. Got a few more jobs to do on the car but should be done by then. I know the venue well as I used to be based in Dishforth, just north of York.

H4H is a great charity, the work they do is brilliant, my only thing is the smaller charities that do equally good work don't get the direct support as H4H is such a household name. Your offer of passenger rides for donations is a great idea and hopefully plenty will donate and take you up on the offer.

Until the wonderful people of the great Royal Wooton Bassett and Help for Heroes came along our military didn't exist and no-one cared and that's the main reason I support them TBH. I have set up a donation page here http://www.bmycharity.com/bobgenie Not sure how it'll fly but I'm hoping even if I only make a few quid for H4H it's better than nothing
