Hi all

I'm new to the forum and my 300zx tt, which I picked up Monday!!!

I bought the car knowing that I needed to change the disks and pads but reading through some of your posts on the forum and experiance a little lacking stopping power I'm looking at getting it sorted sooner rarther than later.

I'm off to the ring on the 19th in the car for a couple of laps, nothing to hectic!! So was hoping for some advice on what to do without going to mad as I don't want to 1 turn the car in to a track monster. 2 want to keep the cost down!!

Is standard breaks and pads ok? Or will they still be lacking that stopping power??

Do I need to go for a big kit upgrade to the front whilst keeping the back standard (just replace rear like for like)?

Do i need to go big all the way around???

If you could help out with what to buy and where I would much appreciate it as time against me

Thanks all for your help

If you are on a proper budget then i would say these are a must http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-315mm-Big-Brake-Kit-S13-S14-200sx-300zx-200-sx-/110846907649?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19cefd9501

you still use your own calipers but because you have a bigger disc it is easyer for your caliper to grab it so your brakeing force is increased. i had these before and they really are a must. Then all you will need are decent pads all round and job done.

you can also fit a brake brace or stopper i think there called and it stops your bulk head flexing giving your brake pedal a firmer feel :)
