Whats the width on the boot?

Hi all,

Im looking at Carbon spoilers as i cant find anything else that will look right on the Carbon boot hatch.

Seen a few spoilers for the Zed from the states but £400-£500 for a fibreglass spoiler is way to expensive. Plus it needs to be painted. Plus a painted spoiler on a Carbon boot hatch just isnt going to look right.

Ive never been a fan of the Carbon drift style spoilers but ive seen a few that are growing on me. The 1 im looking at is 57" long....What is trhe width of the boot? I dont want the spoiler over hanging ther car.

Style im looking at....I may mod it a little buy cutting the brackets down a tad if it looks to high. Its adjustable too.

Added a few pics of the car too to give you an idea of the style of the car

Thanks Dan

dont forget wicked coatings on here could carbon dip a fibre glass one if you found one you liked! :)

Just measured mine to get perspective for that type of wing.

My wing is 145cm across. The measurement from corner to corner of the boot lid where the back meets the side then flares around with the wing is 150cm (across the 3rd brake light). As you can see from the side shot it doesn't protrude at all and it's amazing how those things grow on you, didn't like it at all when i got it but quite like it now. IMO a carbon wing like the one you posted is the only wing that will suit your rear hatch.

Thanks for the pics Eggs its helped me out a lot. Ive ordered the spoiler now and hopefully have it tomorrow depending on the delivery company as its a bank holiday. Im thinking of cutting the brackets down so the soiler isnt as high. The brackets are adjustable between 6 to 7 inches but ill see how it looks when i get it.

Paul c ive been looking for a spoiler for a while now and had my hearrt set on the CSL that is a special order from the states but it works out around £500 without Carbon dipping or painting. Ive got quite a few parts at Wicked coating that im waiting to recieve back but im still not 100% sure how good of a match the dipped parts would be agaist real Carbon and having the spoiler painted i just dont think it would look right.

Cheers Dan

No problem, I seriously think that's going to look the mutts nuts when it's on and also a very unique look, really excited to see the finished product. That CSL spoiler is damn nice but like you said it aint going to work with the hatch if it's not a perfect weave/colour match and it's also alot of money. Personally I think a spoiler like that needs to be quite high, it's just the style, anything less than 6 inches might look a bit odd but saying that if it's lower you might actually be able to see out the back window....
