Hi all,

I've relocated my PTU to under the nose panel, it's bolted to where the air con condenser attaches to on the passenger side.

Where have you all moved yours too as I'm not convinced on my positioning.

Cheers

Mainly because I want to de-clutter the engine bay and because I can LOL. Also thinking of ditching the cam covers for something that shows the sprockets.

two reasons ...

1st Main one is Heat from the engine makes the s1 fail

2nd is to tidy up the engine bay or even u want open cam cover

nothing to mount it to

mine is under the battery tray and you move it for the reasons above as my engine is open too.

In fact on the TT i put it somewhere else i just cant remember where maybe it is above my relocated fuse box i forget

i moved mine to the back of the main head light ..

there is no need to cut or re-solder wires

just need to strip back the outer wire covering

so it just leaves you with the two water sensor wires then recover all wires in

Fiber/isolation tape

Moved mine under the centre panel and made an alloy bracket for it, which is bolted above the plastic guard thats attached to the bumper so its out of the way of spray etc.the bolt for the bracket is screwed into a 6mm tapped hole that was already there :)
