right ive been looking at some road maps etc and i think a great route that would give us some fun twisties long empty straights etc and great senery would be to take a path from studland to swanage, through to corfe via langton matravas. then on towards wareham through wareham forset out to winterborne zeston. there is a pub there at the end og a loverly national speedlimit a road. i will be posting up a map once i can work out the exact route. i wont be planning on gunning it the whole way but there will be plenty of opertunities for those nice quick a/b road action :)

date to be confirmed but obviously good wetaher will help loads. get a few piccies get out and use the damn things and a good old chit chat while the engines cool. ideally it will be an early start to allow easy crossing on the ferry from this end. any route deviations or points of interest that you would like to add on etc etc feel free to contribute should be a good day.

can a mod please change the tittle of this thread to upcoming south central mini meet and cruise. date tbc.

That sounds good to me mate, I'll let you know how my week pans out lol.

By the way the measurements you wanted were both 6 inch from front bumper/skirt to the floor. If you need anything else let me know.

il sort the final details this week gaz, sun would be a great help and certainly the short term forecast is shite! ive plotted a proper route now which obviously we can change should we recon theres a better one etc. hows everything going your end bud?

right route map (roughly obviously) is below.

routeplan.png

roads are as follows,

ferry road swanage b3351, spurring off down ulwell road. through swanage onto the a351, spurring onto the b3069 rejoining the a351.

the a351 is followed along until sanford where we pick up the b3075.

to finish where it meets the a31 at the worlds end pub.

there are some awesome streches of road throughout this route, hairpined hills, long clear hill top passes etc etc a quick google of the route will soon show.

the ferry should you choose to use it at the beginning is £3.50 every 20 minutes after 7am.

in my opinion the earlier the better, this will reduce the quing potential for the ferry and make more clearer roads, pesky tourists will sleep be in bed.

the long term wetaher forecast is atm shite! so il be keeping an eye on this. enjoy.

thats the current issue ian as obvioulsy with a run out weather is a big factor, so im keeping a close eye on this. if you were intending on popping over for this i could meet you at location on your side of the water to make things simpler just let me know. :)

Works getting stupidly busy, was just wondering if it coincided with a rather rare day off
