Everywhere near me seems to have ran out. I'm off work over Easter and i'm going to be stuck in the house if this continues.

Saying that, I was going to go and get some fuel in a can for my zed tomorrow but I'll probably be lynched now. lol

tbh i put £50 of diesel in the van today and il be putting another £50 in tomorrow cant afford to be caught out without fuel. however so such dramas here atm diesel at £1.449

All you people who are panic buying are completely missing the point here, and by doing so are HELPING keep the price of fuel so stupidly high.

So please, only get your usual weekly fuel and help reduce the fuel prices by MAKING the goverment lose out on not only the taxes from fuel duty ,but the taxes,from your days wage too(if you cant get to work that is).

If everyone did this it would get the point across much better.

Have you noticed the gap between cost of Unleaded and Diesel is widening all the time....soon the extra mpg wont count for nothing :(

A very valid point - especially with petrols getting better and better!

 

Quick set of calcs on a 528i and a 530d shows tht the diesel is 1.3p less a mile to run. Not much in it anymore! (and the petrol is faster!)

Its good to see the Turbocharged petrol engine making a comeback...albeit in smaller CC.

I'm happily plodding along in my s reg 1.2 punto thats full of dents.

 

 

Only had it for about a month and has saved me almost £100 in fuel compared to my 2.5 V6 MG ZS that I had as my daily car and drove about 250 miles a week in.

 

Obliviously any money I have saved has been spent on my zed :thumbup:

New 328i/528i are just amazing really, 2 litre 4 banger with a turbo. 245bhp taking the 5 series to 60 in 6.2 seconds and returning 42mpg. crazy
