Thinking about what im going to do with my car.

Its the best zed ive had so far, so it makes sense to keep it if i cant get what i want for it. Finding a TT in as good condition would be a tall order without it being ££££££.

 

My thought has been, if i can sell the parts off the car i dont want, or need, the funds can go towards getting how i want.

 

The wheels are for sale, the rear lights and im thinking to sell the engine, but dont know what its worth.

 

Today i fitted the TT front bumper. Its the wrong colour, but already looks better!

ive been trying to sell mine for £200 problem is NA engines dont go wrong so no one wants them

my na blew up after 100k, bottom end became starved, did a tt swap and left the NA engine round the back of my house for 1 week, pikes stole it, must be worth £50 scrap at least..

I wouldn't scrap it!

How much did the TT conversion cost you all in all?

£500 for the ecu, engine, intercoolers turbos and pipework, £100 for the greddy profecb sII (ebc), and then the gearbox had to be grinded out at the bottom to fit the TT paddle clutch that was £300, work we did in 48 hours (pretty much non stop) over a bank holiday weekend in my mates garage :) was to tired at the end to drive.

the bellhousing work is the trickier part of all of it, you'll also need a tt radiator, a rad lower mount adaptor from z1.... TT rad upper mounts, TT intercooler piping and intercoolers .... etc etc... its the little bits that make it add up, allow half the engine cost again for little bits and pieces.

Im thinking about buying a rotten TT doner car really..

The tt rad is important as it won't fit otherwise, but mines just metal zip tied in place ;) non of this z1 stuff, I'm still waiting for parts off them I ordered in 2008 lolz
