the best advice i can give you is dont do it

But they do look great!!!. I think common problems are the ecu fails then screws up the gear box or something like that. Aero spoilers can fail and there a proper pita to work on.

There heavy and not the best around bends on stock springs,

haha, they do look good, im not a fan of mitsi engineering either, i mean come on!... it mite be an evo, woopdi doo, its still only a 2litre Four pot! its has its limits, compared to the sr20, its obsolete in my opinion. then theres the RB engine, nobodies gonna dispute the cababilities of that engine. and of course ...the mighty VG. whcih correct me if im wrong, is the base of the engine used today in the R35. which was until recently the fastest production car around the Ring. key to all this genius....the badge of course! nissan all the way!

she Loves my mates Pulsar, but she cant afford one for a long long time, and she wants something than can keep up with us, the N/A Zed.r33gtst, and the pulsar. preferbly 4wd,preferbly small ish. she like the GTO,

looked at, glanzas. defo not!

pulsar - to expensive

GTO-future issues maybe?

supra-no chance

skyline-never

Z-ive already got one

Scoob Uk Turbo-insurance

im running out of ideas lol

Get her a nice zed TT instead mate, she'll thank you for it in the long run...

id love too but i cant afford one and neither can she :(

were talking 2k at the very limit lol

Apart from my present zed, my pulsar was the best car I've had to drive and the only car I've been forced to sell due to it being broken into in the works dodgy car park, as opposed to just getting bored, so it's a shame she can't afford one. If she can get by with 2 seats how bout an mr2 turbo? Not 4wd but great fun and a half decent boot so slightly practical?!

hmmmm, got a lil girl but i gues she could do with 2 seats. ill suggest it, thanks dude :D.

yea my mates pulsar is cool lol, sounds like a savage rally car !

mayby not..but how about an accord type-r will keep up with the n/a zed easily and its fantastic through the twisties. plus 5 seats

I doubt you could get a good twin turbo gto for £2k? Buying cars like that at bottom book is normally a receipe for disaster!

She might be better with an S14? or an Mr2 as mentioned above. Perhaps a celica? All can be had for less money and much less complicated.

thats what i was thinking!....looked at gto's before i bought the zed and was looking at around 4-5k for a nice one, plus the insurance was higher on a gto than a zed.

There is always the FTO there are some cheapies around if you look

What he said. just make sure gearbox is sound before you part with your cash :thumbup1:

can you get a decent accord type r for under 2K. you can get them with really high mileage.

As above get a FTO mivic, 2l V6 and 200hp and fantastic in the bends. Make sure its the manual :cool3:

I have had 2 a GTO tt and a 3ooogt tt, which is the Uk model, liked both of them but a bit un inspiring to drive.Very complex car with lots to go wrong.i know the early cars 5 speed gearbox was a little weak later cars had a 6speed box which was very good.If your tall like me dont get a sunroof model as head height is reduced quite alot.I like em.

hi i have a 3000gt mk1 in pearl white these cars don't give much trouble what happens people dont have the funds to keep them in tip top condition and they fall in to disrepair take them to a decent garage like euro-spec or the gto doctor who no`s all about them

cheers trev

Can recommend an mr2 turbo, had mine for 5yrs, never let me down once, fantastic little car. Would get a good one for £2k, go for a rev3 if you get one.

Ive had a manual GTO very nice car and i picked it up for a grand. Was a bargain as i just had a coolant pipe to sort on it and the aero spoiler to fix which is easy enough to do yourself with cheap kits available to fix it. Plenty of electrical fancy stuff on board which was nice but my heart wasnt in the car so had it 3 months and got the slickie. Things shift but are heavy cars. I did find though to change the spark plugs is a PITA as you have to remove the intake plenum. Rear lights get misted up with condensation too.
