NA gearbox which has been modified to fit TT clutch - how?

Hi. I am currently struggling to find a clutch for a N/A manual. they aint cheap either!

Read in Gonzo12c for sale list the above part.. a box modified to take a (cheap and plentiful) TT clutch.

Can anyone lets me on to how or what is done?

Cheers.

You need to grind out the bell housing on the g/box. The TT clutch will then fit. Just offer the plate up to the gearbox and you'll see the bits that need grinding for good fit.

If you look at the bell housing it was from about the 7 o clock position round to the 9 o clock position that needed grinding about 2-3 inches back not alot at all and by offering it up and turning the engine you will see where it is catching. I did mine with the engine still in so probably went more than i needed to on grinding.

You also need to space the starter motor out by either making a spacer or getting one of these.

I have a brand new czp starter shim if you go down this route mate. You missed the meet and the clutch/fly' sold I'm afraid.

Non turbo clutch units such as the ones below are easy on the the leg and good for any power mods, in fact we use these for where a non turbo box is used in a TT zed.

have sent word to Andy Ish.. cheers for you help everyone. One way or tother, I might just get her rolling again yet!

Are you after an uprgraded NA clutch?

If not, i have an almost new genuine Nissan NA clutch - it has done about 500miles. I also have a freshly skimmed flywheel.

I realise that i am not subscribed, but that is purely down to laziness. If this part is of interest, i will subscribe before it goes any further.

Yes Big C you are correct, but I cannot get my money back from somepersons, pretty much forces me to wait until they supply the part. So thank you for the offer but I'm truely stuck for now........

... and yes, I am surprised they have not jumped on you for an attempted sale...hahaha.
