Hi wondered if anyone has ever had their friction plate material renewed,..... with a company similar to this?

http://www.industrial-friction.com/

I have read on the internet plenty of people who have had this done and the cost seems to be £45 - £55.

Can't say that I've ever heard of that mate. Would have thought you're probably cheaper just buying a new friction plate though.

You would be right if it were a standard clutch matey, but it's a twin plate and the manufacturer wants over £600 for the 2 plates, so if this viable I can spend the £££ on other goodies

aah, I see. Fair enough lol. Don't know then mate, give them a call and see.

Definitely the way to go if you've an oddball clutch setup.

My 'other' project needs an unusual clutch due to the rare gearbox/engine config' so might be giving those guys a look up when the time comes...

(Which at the current rate would be in about ten years time!! )
