Guys, been through the search and not found what I need to know. I have a Import TT 2+2 and have fitted 19" 9.0J and 9.5J with 35 offsets with 235/35/19 and 275/30/19 tyres. The front hubs have 15mm spacers and I have all the camber correcting parts so I am not concerned about camber problems and I am prepared to flare the rear arch lip in for clearance if neccessary.

The rear tyre to arch gap is approx 50mm and the front about 40mm.

I would like to know if I can fit lowering springs to my standard shocks which are spec'd at dropping the car about 1.0" (+-25mm).

Anyone have a similar situation with positive or negative results? Appreciate any feed back.

Coilovers cost in my country (South Africa) at this stage is around a little over half my monthly take home pay so thats out of the question at the moment.

Thanks.

As the wheels are already fitted you should be able to tell if it will clear. From the spec given though, I think it'll work just fine. 19x9.5 rear on an et35 is nice and safe. With the 275 tyre it's possible that the arch lip may need rolling up, but I doubt it (someone with the same spec will confirm). 19x9 front with an effective et20 sounds like a tasty looking fitment and the 235 tyre is nicely stretched to fit really well in the arch. On paper it sounds like it'll look great once dropped. Be aware that your oem springs may have sagged a little so the drop may not be as much as advertised. Make sure you stick some pics up, what wheels hae you got?

I have 19" 235/35 (8.5) in front and the rear tires are now 285/30 (9.5). No problems here
