Really..........thought it would be a good idea, but know where you are coming from

Cant find Mike Smith manifolds on Z1 site. They do the AMS manifolds (apparently Mike smith replicas) for $495.

CZP do the Mike Smith manifolds for $695

Seem to remember that someone well respected on here, said the AMS were superior to the Mike Smith manifolds, as AMS had "improved" the design rather than just copying it. hth

well thats good news because i've got the AMS on mine :)

Hi

You cant combine costs, every item is weighed and thats how its priced for shipping, its the only way it can be done.

Just had an email back to say will ship me 3 for $1670.00 if my calculations are correct this should be £350.00 each!

Does this mean it will cost me £1051.00 total or will the customs cost be ontop??

Customs will go on top of this I'm afraid. iirc correct budget for around a 20% increase..

all the couriers collect customs charges on behalf of HMRC.

These charges always include VAT at 20% and sometimes import duty too. In addition they charge a handling fee.

Like Jimmer and others I regularly bring stuff in from the US.

Here is a recent example to show you how it works.......

Goods were $80

Shipping was $47.95 with USPS Flat rate box.

Total $127.95

Parcel Farce converted that in to £80 approx and charged £16.21 in VAT . No import duty.

But £8 clearance/handling fee. Total £24.21.

So my item cost me £104 approx .

HTH.

This country is ran on taxes...........anybody going to the states soon and has a large suitcase:whistling:

I want to order an exhaust system but the shipping and tax is silly.

Been trying to source exhausts in the UK and coming up with nothing. Might have to bite the bullet and just order.

Gibster, i would have one custom made bud. I fancied a B&B exhaust from the states but price + delivery + charges = mental.

As for importing from the states.

IMO, always avoid USPS. They take forever, always hold items in customs and pass onto ParcelForce who charge for handling and clearance.

I always find FedEx much quicker and cheaper. I have brought piles of stuff in from the states via FedEx and it always arrives within a couple of days

So can you choose who z1 uses to send parts over??
