Trying to get some dump/blow off valves.

My first Zed had a set of HKS valves which sounded awesome.

I'm looking at getting some baileys Dv 26 or possibly dv36, but not sure how they sound on a Zed?

Had them on others turbo'd cars and sometimes they sounded sometimes, sometimes bad.

Anyone running baileys valvesand can offer some input?

you enquired about mine not sure if you saw my response but I think they sound good not stupidly loud but you no they are there:)

good luck on the hunt.

I always associated bailey with fords and vauxhalls from the ads I saw from them that's why I wouldn't use them. For me I'd rather stick with the big jap names on parts like this and also not fond of cheaper imitation parts.

Same here mate, always prefer to use HKs, Greddy, Apexi, etc.

But right now just so bloody skint!

And have already stripped out the old valves and hoses in preparation for new ones, so just need to get something soon then get the Zed out of it's winter hibernation.

Thanks mate.

Seen your reply, new Bailey valves going for £223 new with kitting kit though, so based on that will probably go for those.

Never grow up lol!

Since hitting 30 i think I've started going backwards, even want a sub and amp again at some point lol.

Got baileys on mine, and quite subtle and not overly loud.i got black anodised ones with the fitting kit which contains more than enough bits and bobs to fit them :)

I had baileys on my pulsar. Sounded good. Turned a few heads. Especially at the local lads "max power" meet at macdonalds!

dam I need to get mine fitted, they are in a box atm along with loads of other bits that I seem to be collecting.

i understand how to fit them in terms of the actual fitting vac pipes etc.. but what has to be done to them in terms of setting them up.

Ive got Baileys on mine and i think there about as classy as you can get for a dump valve. Im not keen on overloud ones that sound chav tastic. Also if your worried about brand names like martin is, who really cares when you cannot see them

But tbh i think i will be taking mine off as i think there a little silly now and im 26

well you say that dave but therein bailey are a pretty well known brand in the ford scene i know some people dont valuve the input of that scence but there are plently of cosworth yb engined cars out there running over 600 bhp and a fair few relitivly running close to if not over 1000. so theres plently of development and space for high end builds.

Yeah a dump valve is a dump valve imo and all do the same job. There a basic thing so pritty hard for someone to make them wrong. just depends on the sound your after.

i have some Irish Cream ones they is good .. not to in your face with the sound but a nice grown up sound ..
