Personally, I would try to keep them as they do offer a degree of protection.

I understand what you mean about the noise though. Maybe they could be modified as opposed to removed?

i would deffinetly keep them on matey, reason being i have found rust on the reat arches lip,

the reason i have found is that there is no liner in the rear and stones have finnaly cut through the inside of the arch this lets water spray up, as there is nowhere for the water to drain the water settles around the arch lip causing rust bubbles

as far as im aware, there is no arch liner in the rear, ive owned 5 300zx's and not one rear arch liner in sight. fronts however. yaw ive not got any arch liners on my fronts, the only issue ive found is the relays in the drivers side wing getting crapped up / wet, the other reallllllllly annoying thing is you get a built up of small stones between the wing and the body work of the car that will only shift if jet washed.

Doh my fault for not making a clear post LOL

yep the rear on mine rust as there were no liner so im sure the front will also be the same if you remove the liners as ther are quite a few holes under the liner relays also, maybe you can modify or bend your liner a little to clear the tyres?

is there no way of modifying your arch liner to accomadate the wheel offset? im not sure if it can be moulded with a heat gun maybe?

I have removed the front part of the arch liner, mainy because of tyre rubbing, but the larger IC's fouled as well so I just binned them over 1 - 1.5 years ago

Same here........... Also for the SMIC's to have more free flowing air at the rear, air easier to exit, rather than the exiting air hitting a plastic wall (the inner front wheel arch lining)..............
