I have researched these tyres and they seem to get very good reviews.

I am just about to hit the buy Button and fit them to My ALPINA but thought I would

ask for any thoughts or experiences here first.

I am not lashing out on Pilot Sports when I only do about 4000 miles a year

Pilot Sports = £800

Falken FK420 = £400

We've just fitted these to my brothers 270bhp Focus, after the last set of Goodyear RA050's lasted 5000 miles. he's done 4000 so far and they are down to 6.5mm, new they are 8mm, and he doesnt go slow

Toyos all the way

The guy wh looked after My z for a year:whistling: fitted Falkens to the rear and I do not rate them!

Cannot keep the rears from spinning and overall traction I think is poor......on the other hand the toyos were soooooo much better for traction imo of course

Falken 452's are practically the same as proxis and are both very good tyres but the proxis ware quicker.

I highly rate the falkens i got very little spin in 1st gear. you could proper launch it. :cool3:

Dave you sure they were 452's and not another tyre falken make. 452s are a very well known super tyre for the price :)

Hi Dave.......thought they were 452s will search post as I have moaned about Falkens before:oops:

Found my thread Dave and I do have the 452s and still dont rate them up to my toyo proxies but as said imo!

Got be honest Toyo R888 if can get them in the size you need blistering performance wet or dry and not to silly on the money

Falkens 452's are a very popular road tyre for z's. Not the highest performing but very good for the cost.

Dry yes, Wet - big no ! ...and expensive.

They are a Road legal track day tyre -- Stiff sidewalls, more road noise, high wear rates, terrible in the wet, but amazing warmed up in the dry.

452's are not bad, with big power they can struggle, i like the kumho ku31's and have used them on most of my cars, Mates run toyos and hard driving can really destroy them when they are warm, for semi slicks the ad08 is a better tyre than the r888, they are also better in the wet

ive tried some in the wet and found them quite good on a supra not a big hp one only 230 hp but zero wheel spin which is unusual on a wet road i know well :)

wear rates well difficult to balance grip and wear i found this in bike racing just the same

stick some contis on!

I have to agree - whilst Falkens and Yokos get good reviews when fitted to Japanese cars - on a German car you can't do better than Conti Sport Contacts!!

I would not even think about putting anything else on my SLK350 - my first one had Pirelli P-Zero Rossos fitted from new; but when they needed replacing I went for Contis and it was like a whole different, improved car. My latest one came with the Contis (in "MO" fitment) and I'm sticking with them....

......Oddly enough I now have Conti Sport Contact 3s on my 300zx as well (it was all the tyre place had in stock when they fitted my new wheels) and I have to say they are impressive. I think the Goodyear Eagle F1 asymetrics were the best tyres I have had on a ZX, but the Contis aren't far behind - not to mention a few £££s cheaper per corner.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

i had falkens on before they were ok lasted and griped well but if got nankans on now i cant fault them just passed the 10k mark and thev still got loads left in them..grip in the wet and in the dry they give me so much confidence when im driving spirtedly
