I like the gear knob very JDM and would of maybe gone for something like that when I was looking to change mine but there was very little about then and I went for the 99 spec knob with the red stiching which suit's my interior and is nicely weighted for gear changing.

Got it from USA via ebay and as far as I remember it was around £70 mate

thought so. was looking at them myself,i nearly fell on the floor when i saw the price!

Many of these ebay shortshifters will eventually end with a rattle. The bearing is a very low quality item and tolerances are very slack. I have had 3 shortshifters and all bearings had bad vibration, 2 from the start and 1 after 6 months. The only shortshifter to install is the Z1 shifter, great quality, minimal tolerances on the bearing and housing, and from a trusted 300zx trader. Link below....

no. just put together with a bit of silicone(i do) i've used threadlock before which worked but was a bitch to undo without spraining selector.

i've never had the bearing rattle on these shifters but probably not owned previous vehicles long enough to notice. i've only had the shafts themselves rattle as they've come loose. so thats why i resort to putting something on the thread.
