time contol unit.....whats it look like and where is it??????

Since ive owned my zed the intermittent wiper switch hasnt worked, and the dash light dimmer hasnt worked and have been told it could be due to the timer control unit.........but where is it and what does it look like?

It is an opaque colour box the size of a fag packet, located in the drivers footwell behind the plastic panel closest to the door

The green relay next to it is the fuel pump relay

cheers Groover........so could this unit be the cause of my wayward intermittent wipers?.what else does this unit control?

The most likely cause yes, it controls the dash lights, dimming, intermittent wiper, open up the box and look for burnt tracks, you may be able to re solder the track or make a connection using thin gauge wire soldered to each end of the burnt track.

well i have no intermittent wipers, i bought a control unit from zedworld hoping that would fix my problem, but it remained, so i have a spare control box ill sell you if you need it mate its been plugged in (tested at Zedworld so its a known working unit) but took back out.

On the Aus site someone mentioned that the wiper motor and a relay in the drivers side wheel arch also have something to do with the operation of the wipers. the relay in the drivers side wing is my issue as i can wiggle it and it will set the wipers off and also give me intermittent back.

I haven't replaced it yet as no matter how many times ive asked no one seems to know what relay ive been on about even when ive given pictures. also for a better idea of the location of the control unit. have a look at my thread here.
