Rubber pipe, is that the EGR system ? If so you will need to blank it off in some way, not sure what effect that will have though.

Also, lambda sensors they are not, guess you're talking about the catalyst temp sensors - they just need to be tucked up out of the way under the carpets.

at least i have done half right by tucking away heat sensors. what do the pipes do then if they are the egr ones....they dissapear up under the inside wheel arches. i have currently blanked them off with a bolt.

surely someone else must have fitted lukes or johnnys decat pipes someone must know for deffo...

cheers andyp buddy ;-)

Think the ones you're talking about are the AIV pipes.

As far as I know they are just there to inject air from the AIV valves into the exhaust to dilute the fumes and make the car more emmission friendly.

Would imagine you can just block them, or trace them back to the AIV valves and remove the whole gubbins. They were deleted on the phase II anyway.

Those pipes to the original cat are only to heat it up during warmup. Not important now!

I had the rubber hose pulled off.

A propper ecu upgrade will disable it from even thinking about blowing any air!

jez do you leave em blocked up or open at the end.

"T".....

The hoses are for the AIV system which dilutes the exhaust with fresh air to trick the emissions testers. You can remove the whole asembly from the rear of the front wings as well if you want. Remove the wheel, remove the rear splash gaurd from the arch and the remove the whole assembly... Do this on both sides...
