I bought some UK clocks a few months back and have just got around to fitting them  been busy. Anyway my car is non turbo jap and all the connectors fitted and went in fine but the rev counter doesn't move at all. Water, oil and fuel gauge move for definate and the speedo works I think. The car isn't road legal at the moment so just went dowm my lane and it moved slightly.

Any ideas please?

Cheers

Should of said my car is a G reg 1989 if it matters

Can I open the back of the unit and change the rev counter with the working one from my old speedo?

personally i coudn't do it due to being a bit rough with that stuff. but i know you can strip them right down to do the job. good luck!

take the units out the car ..

pop the main Black Plastic shroud off ( 8 clips )

then on the back pannel there is 4 screws that hold the Rev counter in place and its the contacts too

undo it and swop or replace ...

Changed the rev counter today and its all working now  But I have noticed the power light flashes a few times when I start the car then goes off. To be honest I don't remember it doing this before so is this normal?

Think it flashes about 4 or 5 times but there all the same flash if that makes sense.

If its normal cool
