New Blue Windscreen

I had to get a new windscreen for the MOT tomorrow, (covered by insurance). The new one is Blue tint, (UK), whilst I have Bronze tint, (Import). I was told I faced a possible 6 weeks delay held out for the Bronze.

I went with the blue.

It looks good straight on and side on, the 1/4 view clearly shows a new windscreen verses old side windows but the tint is not strong so you have to look closely to see the difference.

So the moral of the story is do not get broken windscreen less that 6 weeks before the MOT.

Unless you guys know better??

I've got the same thing if it's any consolation!

The tint in mine is REALLY strong though.

It is nice to know I am not alone!

Yes. Aaron had that problem when he had to get a new drivers window. He said the windows where tinted on his other windows and when he got a new drivers windows from a scrap yard, the tints where, different colours. The UK window he got was darker.
