Just been cleaning the car a little today, but seeing as,its currently 20shades of red from the spraying tidying up the bodywork over the last couple of years it looks like a respray is gonna be called for.

Has anyone recently had a respray done?.

Im not wanting to change the colour or go for anything fancy, just a simple standard ag2 red respray.

Question is how much would i be looking at for a repaint?

pics are a must. Good price you had. Be nice to see the results.

Well that beats the £4200 I'll be paying :(

i was quoted £1200-£1300 for mine to be done and that was a colour change to including door & boot shuts plus fitting 2 new rear arches

I spray cars to a show finish for a living and that Price IS HIGH,

i see some customers paying that for extensive full resprays with candys, pearlecents you name it! i can only think of oneplace that would charge sooooo much, and that is house of colour and a main dealer of course:tongue:

i would ask what your getting for the money if i where you mate

Work is pretty extensive. Complete interior out, engine bay completely emptied.

New floor, sills. Full pearl colour change. Some fibreglass work on front bumper.

That looks fantastic. Ag2 is a very nice colour on a z, really suits the style better than any other colour.

Lovely looking ZX there CiaranZ......

.....I think red is still the best colour for the Z32 - it was "The Designer's Choice" of colour so that's a fitting endorsement for sure!!

thanks for comments guys, "designers choice" must remember that haha! have to say a colour i love on these cars is pearl white, classy lookin!

Before any respray take your plastic trim out of yout boot and check for rust where the rear bumper mounts the car and the arches. My car was mint. had the respray done the 3 months later the arches started to bubble.

So before you blow all your money have a quick look.

Yup - it's in the book "300zx - The Enthusiast's Companion" get yourself a copy mate; it's a great book and tells the story of our cars!!
