Do a search on safety boost on this forum or on TT net. It's all there one way or the other.

Sounds like the engine temperature sensor to me! On the top metal rad pipe, remove the connector from the left hand sensor, and check its nice and clean. Check its making good contact and is fully seated.

HTH,

ECU diag

Take to Nelson and health check with a Consult test.

That way you will get a compression test done and ask them to carry out a load balance test on all the cylinders.

Go from there, process of elimination but rule out the engine first. More than likely shite connections/connectors somewhere on the wiring loom.

IMO

thanks think I'll get the compression check first, though the engine is running sweet smile.gifI know the AIV filter needs cleaning this could be nothing to do with the up and down idling, could it?

cheers
