I had a rac guy out to look at my car today,when he arrived i told him that the problem was my ptu,guess what he said"whats a ptu"

anyway after explaining what it is ,he went on to check my car INC:-

ALL MY PLUGS

THEN MY FUEL PUMP

 

after checking these he said he thought it was my fuel pump(i diconnected 1 of the fuel pipes and watched his face as fuel pissed all over his leg when i turned the car over)

ffs youd think the rac would have a clue!

then he decided to take 1 of the pipes off leading to my throttle bodies,he asked me to turn the car over and said its a problem with ya induction mate"there is no vaccum to the throttle bodies??????come on what the fuck is going on?

anyway after he had called his mate who used to be a nissan manager to find out if he had any ideas,he decided to give in ,the guy had only seen 2 zeds in twenty years at nissan.

well this has really give me faith in the rac.

when he left i done an ecu check and it said code 21(i think?)faulty PTU

 

I DONT THINK MUCH ABOUT THE RAC ,I HOPE THE AA IS A BIT BETTER.JAY

 

The AA are not much better but I think the Z is a bit specialised for any road side repairs.

I called them out last year when my Z was intermitantly overheating and the guy said he'll re-fill the rad and get me to anywhere I want to go but he wasn't messing with such a complex engine!

I just have the cover so I know I can get me and the car home when it inevitably breaks down.
