Alfa Romeo 'Nero' black is VERY black indeed. No metallic so I think it's a 2k paint.

Yeah ive got so much on the go at the min, the last thing i need to worry about is complaining to some retards lol!!!

Any one used these???

You should be able to get it from your local auto paint suppliers. and I dont mean Halfords either, a 2 pack jet black will do you, its also the cheapest, but you will need 2k thinner and hardner too

Cheers mate. Thats what the car was sprayed in the last time and i dont like it lol!!!! its not a deep black. when the sun hits it, it has a horrible brown tinge to it. I want black black lol!!!! Ive got 2.5l of the auto paints jet black in the shed.

The black on mine is a deep black, there's no hint of another colour in it. Nissan calls it KH3 but it's just black. Get it done in 2k for the best results matey :)

So back to the original colour then your saying. mine was that. but are there not any audis or mercs that are darker??

Jet black should be just that, as it says on the tin, was it mixed right and did you give it a really good stir before use?

:lol::lol::lol:

I don't think you can get darker than just black? What colour would you mix with it to get it darker?

It's the quality of the spray job that gives you the depth mate.

No i dont think so. Is that the same as the body repair place?? I went there a few weeks back to see the set up.

Yeah jet black straight from the supplyers no mixing etc, yeah all shook between jobs etc. My old man bought some another time for his mr2 and got the same results. Toyota black was much deaper as is the nissan one. but yeah you would think black is black lol!!! so this time im going for a proper expensive quality paint.

There is about 20 differant shades of so called just black. lol!!!

I'll ask Dan who did my car bud. See what he comes back with. He's just done my mates MR2 in black but he wanted a slight silver to it. I'll see what he says about "black black really black jet black as black as black can get black" okay?

  • Author

yeah that would be great. Ive sent paints 4 u an email so i will see what they come back with aswell.

you can also get super jet black but i have no idea what that will be like so im going for a proper manufactuer colour :)

If you want the blackest black, avoid metallics as already said.

A couple of nice blacks to consider,

Honda pirates black - it has a purple tint.

Audi brilliant black is a nice deep black

I know what you mean Blythe brownish tint, my car used to have that. Drove me mad!

Dont call him a tosser the poor blokes just had his car scratched.lol.

at least you'll think twice about parking near your oil tank next time...

According to Dan, the technical term is Piano black. Volvo do a black called Deepest Black, and it doesn't get more black than that. HTH bud.
