Hi

I need someone who can do a timing belt on a 05 Nissan Micra (K12). Genuine parts used and know what they are doing. Does anyone from the North east know of anyone or a Nissan specialist who is competent in doing these as I have been informed the best (easiest) way is removal of the engine?

Cheers

Paul

Yeah they do. Thats what i meant sorry. The chain has stretched.

im sure they are chain driven fella

They are indeed chain driven, 1.0 litre tthrough to 1.4 litre, are chain, the 1.5 Dci is belt driven

hahaha.. yes Nissan only do chain driven cams..except one dodgy car the made for a laugh years back :)

check the adjuster is not stuck..have ot out and check for scores.. the micra had a long term problem with the thing (should I tell you that?) being noisy and not seating well with the the steps being jumpable.. its a mechanical tensioner which was cheaper that a hydaulic one.. tsskk.. bloody cost downs.

..and from the NorthEast.. like kinda near Newcastle???? hahaha yeah there is a place nearby where they know a thing or two about Nissans.

Yeah, dont fancy the dealer price of £800 - £1000. I know people further down south have had it done at around £500 including parts.
