my zeds off to the body shop over the next few weeks, and someones just put the idea in my head to respray the whole car... :whistling:

 

now its currently metallic black, but im thinking dark purple,

 

any one know and codes for purples (and pictures would be great) for and solid/ metallic purples, don't really want a pearl.

Mine is LP2. Can't do a photo but you can see it om p4 of newbies under 'purple petrol eater' midnight purple

i really like that, very nice car altogether.

wait is that midnight purple (pearl) or deep purple (metallic)? just read LP2 is metallic deep purple?

midnight purple is the best colour around IMO... you should be able to find the colour easy enough through your work, theres quite alot of GTRs through different ages that are that colour :thumbup1:

yeah, thought about the new Nissan nightshade color too.

 

its just there are alot of midnight Z i wanted it to be a little different

am i right in thinking midnight purple 1 is lp2 - not pearl

 

and the lV4 and LX0 are 2 & 3 and pearl?

apparently 2012 was when nissan were supposed to be releasing a new type of 'magnetic' paint, flick a switch on the dashboard and it changes colour using magnetism or something. Have you heard anything about that?

i'd heard rumors, something to do with a small current being run across the body to polarize the paint.... in a similar to the way the smartglass works... but not from any reputable sources,

 

i bet that will be one hell of an expensive extra though,and hopefully they wont let Renault near the wiring....

 

have to say though didn't know it was Nissan developing it... our self healing paint is good though, they even did an i-phone cover in it
