I've just secured a nice pair of 356mm discs and 8 pot mounting brackets, so I can stick with my current 8 pot setup on the front of the zed (6 pot/356mm rear)

so I've got a spare set of uberly' massive ksport 12 pots with 380mm discs, brand new boxed (never opened) Ferodo DS2500 racing pads and braided brake hoses, that have all been fitted but never driven

I thought I'd gauge interest on here before listing them on ebay, starting price will be at half of retail price new

anyone planning on running ridiculous bhp or building a track monster that think they might need these, drop me a PM before they're listed on ebay Monday

* and just to clarify, I have no issues whatsoever regarding bank balance so have no reason to sell other than they are getting in my way, therefore please no daft offers, cheers

****NOW LISTED ON EBAY****

PM me with More details and Price ...

I'll dig out all the boxes from the garage and unwrap the bits so that I can take some pics mate and will then send details etc,

not likely to be until Sunday now though

Here's a pic of the original invoice:

SAM_0052.jpg

Ksport 380mm brake disc kit (12 pots) £1262.98 + VAT £221.02 = Total £1484

*this price was with cheaper Ksport Sport pads. The kit will come with the more expensive Ferodo DS2500 pads *

So what's the minimum size wheels that will fit over these?

Certain 18's will fit mate, usually RAYS are pretty good depending on offset and rim width, but some split rims can be a pain as I found out with my old Enkei's which didn't fit because the caliper pipe snagged on the inner bolts

and I'm the poorest within my circle of business associates, but I'm working on it

i'm sure mine will then as there 18" light weight drift wheels with arched spokes ...

my original brakes look very lost behind them

So far there are 6 guys after these

Quite a lot of interest, so as not to start a 'dibs' fiasco..

as per 1st post:

"I thought I'd gauge interest on here before listing them on ebay, starting price will be at half of retail price new"

ebay with starting price £742 if they sell they sell, if they don't they don't

The only bits I needed off Leo were the 356mm discs and brackets..

These are the Ksport 8 pots currently fitted to the SWB (on Ksport 330mm discs)

SAM_0070.jpg

in order to fit the 356mm discs I needed the 356mm brackets, as the 330mm brackets can't be used

these are the Ksport 6 pots that are going on the rear (with Ksport 356mm discs)

I couldn't use the 6 pots/356mm on the rear if I had 8 pots 330mm on the front, hence the upsize in front discs and associated brackets

these Ksport 12 pots and 380mm discs I've had in the garage for quite a while now, as soon as the parts from Leo arrive I'll be able to swap the discs and brackets over on the front and then I'll have the spare orange and painted Ksport 8 pot calipers and 330mm discs to sell on

12 pots on 380 will be severe over braking power, you will be locking up the tyres and destroying them every time you put your foot on the stoppies

stick to the 8 pots and 356mm 6 pot 356 on the back ..ample if not also a too powerfull brake set up. i can understand 12 pots on a veyron or 1000hp track beast but not as much on a road car or will yours be a track day weapon ?

Why would you be locking up with ABS fitted, would it not just spread the load and with the larger surface area aid in reducing over heating and brake fade?

Mine's a drift car, so I don't need 12 pots and 380mm discs, which is why I've opted for the 8 pots 356mm front and 6 pots 356mm rears

Agreed that they would be more useful on a car that is going to see a fair bit of track but why would you not want a much larger brake setup if you were planning on gunning for big power? If the guys are looking at pushing the 700-800 brake barrier with their zed then why not 12 pots/380mm, look at similar brake setups on 700-800bhp 'hyper cars'...

most super cars would be embarrased by 356 and 8 pots ....i have the same 356 8 pots and 356 6 pots at the back , they are replacing my 3G 330 mm discs and those locked up under hard braking, if you think ABS will stop 100% the wheels locking , then think again it is only a assistance to the braking system to help prevent brakes locking up the wheels if you jam on too hard with any big brakes then the standard ABS will struggle . only reason i have gone for bigger brakes is i will be running nigh on 500rwhp when mapped and intend to hurl it doen the strip every now and then the 3G discs looked a little flimsy

id stick um on my road car, i have no intention of tracking or dragging me car, but they sure would help fill the void that my 19" create with the standard set up and also help with the breaking that you dont get with standard disks lol

Plus they look bloody mean :D
