Chaps,

I know this has probably been asked a million times, but for the life of me i can find an actual how-to on removing the top two spark plugs.

I.e the 2 under the balance bar.

is there a trick to doing it without removing the bar completely???

If not what do i need to look out for before removing everything off the bar....

Thanks again.

James

Don't take anything off the balance bar when removing it, just undo the two nuts on the drivers side and the 2 bolts and 1 nut on the passenger side, then kind of flip it over backwards towards the cabin, then as Gary says, couple of rags in the intake holes (I never bother because I'm careful, but it's worth doing) and bobs your aunties husband.

I would undo the clip holding the large vac tube on the back of the bar that goes to IAC doodah. As you may twist crack the pipe when you rotate the bar out of the way.

Oh and Hollowpoint, get subbed you tight git

one extra point of caution. when removing the balance bar, there are rubber O rings that need to be kept in situ, be careful not to damage

when removing the balance bar. if you do, then it will cause boost leak.

That would be a good opportunity to replace them mate. I bought a box full of assorted sized of O rings from toolstation and it has the correct sizes included :)
