I watch TG 70% for the silliness/Entertainment and laughs, and 30% for the serious Car reviews. I love it. really cheers me up when I do. I watch last nights episode, and thought it was brill, especially the Sweeney Car stunts feature. P.S, I'm looking forward to that movie. :)

I must be getting old,bring back the early top gear ,i want to see a program about cars not all the sillyness,my wife used to get me the dvds at christmas but they were full of explosions etc so no more.I would like to see more mainstream cars aswell.Im think 5th gear is better.Magazines is another thing you pay £4 + and its full of adverts and girls spralled all over the place if i wanted girls i would buy a different sort of magazine.Perhaps i am getting old?can't stop moaning now, right what's next lol,

im old enough to remember TG doing a review on the Austin Allegro and remarked thats its peculiar square steering wheel would be copied by every car manufacturer in the world as they thought it was that good .........they are still getting it wrong today...and what gives with JC's gob ....he is always slack jawed and looks like a scruffy chavs dad ......you young uns need to watch a few old TG's to see what your missing.........ohh my joints are creaking .....anyone got and liniment ??

I remember them well. Jezza, tiff, quentin....

 

It was good, but its a whole different show now. I do agree that some of the sketches are a tad OTT, but for the '3 supercars touring Europe' scenes, its well worth it.

The thing is though that that version of TG was dyeing a death. It was JC that revamped the show into the massive hit it was. I do agree that it can look a bit tired at times but it usually still gives me a laugh.

Totally agree with you Allan , it was a crock of shite to watch , in fact i switched off before the end , i,d rather watch Fifth Gear now !!

i hope the rest are as good as the first two, will give it another go on sunday and if its crap will be switching off, fifth gear is a spot on programme, much better

The thing i like about top gear is that it can do a serious review but it can also do a piss take funny scene. I nearly wet myself at Hammonds car chase edit last night.

 

If it was boring old car reviews every week it would just be dull. Nobody wants to watch reviews on cars that we might buy....thats boring. Nobody wants a serious review on the the Aventador.....none of us are going to buy one.

 

What they do is make light hearted entertainment with cars involved. Perfect!

Fact is, i bet all of you watch it next week.

 

Yup - and still will for the rest of the series. And the next one......
