right i've got a strange issue,

a few weeks ago my zed got towed home as it ran out of fuel, after the light came on 10 secs before ( genuinely )

since then some mornings she'll start up with a misfire??? but it only seems to be when the fuel is low (not quite past the empty line) and its not all the time either just sometimes, ill get to work leave her then a few hours later she starts fine ? any one got any ideas or heard of anything similar,

the guys at the garage just keep telling me to get a new car...:mad2:..gits... anyway, one of them recons i should try a new set of coil packs, im thinking i could be a fuel pressure issue or a clogged filter from when it ran out, anyone got any ideas?

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? could be FPR or fuel damper, you need to see if you are getting fuel from the filter to the fuel rail. Check also the injector connectors for corrosion on the terminals, Temp sensor for the same at least to eliminate some electrical connections

Mine runs on fumes sometimes and dont get a problem with the engine running so low on fuel, unless of course yours was so low the pump was pumping some air into the fuel rails.

Prime the fuel pump a couple of times before starting, ie: ign lights on but not engage starter and see if that makes a difference.
