mate..... a 4WD zed sounds AWESOME!!!!!!

Cheers Paul that was my thinking, although I dont think I'd do it to mine, maybe buy another one, a SWB perhaps, or a VERT :w00t:

Hi Baz, I've done the 4wd project a few years ago, using R33 GTR running gear. Unfortunately, I abandoned the project as it was not a good idea!!! I had the car up and running and belive it was the only one in the UK,

The problem was everytime you hit a corner over 40mph the car would dip!!! like the whole front was about to collapse, every suspension component was upgraded but still couldnt hit a corner hard.

I then researched in to this, and all feedback recieved from people who tried it was negative from all around the world including Austrailia.

I then stripped the car out and kept the RWD setup with a skyline engine!! If your interested in that project I can help you!!

I've got a V8 conversion kit if you're interested

£18000?

may have been down to the drive diffrents most 4x4 set ups are not an equal 50/50 split some have under or over drive on the front this is where you would get problems

i know if may not be related to Proper cars but we get the same effect with RC cars

the drive split has to be matched to the car

£18000?

Well if you get a second hand V8 engine and gearbox for £500 i have everything else to plum it in :) engine mounts, exhaust, manifolds, pipes and radiator, etc

dont tempt me lol :sweatdrop:

if the car dives of power steer this is to do with weight being shifted to the front to quick ..

most cars this is sorted by softer rear and hearder front springs/shock setup ..

if the 2drive was like 30/70 split then this would do the same to as the rotating mass/drive is still pushing from the rear this would all so make the front Dip and make the back end very light

if it was the other way like 50/50>60/40 split this would give u understeer or more neutral feal .. this is how the Electronic active 4x4 works .. shifts the power front/rear

dont tempt me lol :sweatdrop:

I'm selling my box and engine off at the mo but i was planning on keeping the car complete with all the conversion bits and bobs attached so in case i stumbled across a cheap prebuilt engine i could just whack it in and have a track car but if i someone came along with a grand or so say they could have the whole rolling shell with all pipes, looms and connectors to drop an engine and box in.... ;)

That is a good theory, could have been diff wind up causing the 'dip'

OH! and Nick, Shaddap with the V8 already!!!!!:tt2::detective::ohmy::wink:
