Ok so i have the dilemma of picking a car to stand in while i build my zed. Budget is up to 3k and all these are within it.

Now this car is gonna be my main sports car for at least a year with very little mods going onto it unless i see bargains :D

I just need the power under my foot still cant be driving the truck alone for a year haha. Plus everyone loves a poll.

So here we go see above for the model. All 3 i have wanted to own since i was a kid and somehow ended up with a zed :punk:

everyone loves a poll. try adding one :lol:

Supra but kitted like mine was a super reliable.

Rx7 next mega fun great looks but dodgy engine and cheap dash

3rd Skyline, good engine and thats it

Rx7 if you are not too tall and happy with 12mpg!

GTS-T i'd go for.

Parts are too expensive on the supra and no turbo!

are they the car's that you are thinking of buying or just example's

as a daily i wouldnt bother with the rx7, i love them but they are very small, very thirsty and very tempremental, i would imagine more time would be spent repairing that than the zed lol

the supra for me is a strange one, some look like big ugly barge's that i would hate to own, but some look very nice indeed, it's weird

the skyline although is supposed to be a good motor i wouldnt bother with unless it's a GTR, you would alway's want a GTR if you had a GTS lol

probably the supra for me

Not a daily drive as i have the truck for that just a bit of fun while the zed is off the road. I mean it doesnt look too flash picking up women in a monster truck lol

I get what you mean about the Supras though some do look like big bubble cars to me too.

Oh and all of them are currently for sale within the price so potential for me to own

whats wrong with your silver zed. thats best of the bunch :)

Yeah its down south at the moment with no MOT or tax and half primed :( just lost interest in it for the moment but i need to shift it end of the month so it will be coming up to Lincoln :)

Oh that Supra shown is up for £1800 too however its high on mileage at 214k KM and the drivers door needs spraying. Its a cat D as well with front damage before. Or there is a couple of others on auction.

Unless the FD's had a recent rebuild I'd forget it

you may (or may not) get bored of an NA Supra really quickly, though I understand that you want a nice sporty cruiser whilst the zed's being re-built so chasing big power figures isn't the idea

assuming that it's a manual, if I was you I'd buy the GTS-t in the pic and then sell it to me in a twelve months time so I can skid the crap out of it

ha yes its a manual 3k too cant be bad. The FD has pressure test showing around 7.5 on all (not sure what the rotors are meant to be) and has rebuild paperwork

I've had a couple of R33s and they are nice comfy cruisers, the RB25DET engine is one of the best sounding ever :thumbup1:

Go for something different !

Alan...........

well if there was a V8 american muscle car for 3k i would be considering it :)

I voted for something different but I do like that skyline, which is odd for me as I don't normally like the R33 :turned:

How about a V8 camaro...one of the guys in Tidworth sold off his 350z and bought himself one. If you were interested I could ask him, maybe he'd let it go if the right deal was struck

Sorry mate, there is no muscle car available for 3k !

Plenty of Yank V8 iron for that price, but alas, although pretty punchy, not muscle !

Alan............

Pop onto DW mate and send 'Nicad7' a PM about his Camaro, his names Will and works with a mate of mine, Ted. I've met Will, he's a really nice guy but I dare say that he'd want to get back into the Jap car seen.

Think of that V8 rumble.....

I'm with Allan there - except for chosing the Supra......

why not make the most of the summer time to come?, and not loose any value on a car like this?, retro
