As standard they are a kinda dull manky whiteish type colour which looked ok I suppose.

However now I have a triple guage pod mounted at the top of my centre console with balck face dials ith white numbering and red needles.

I thought to myself, "Damn it would look good if the standard dials matched that colour". SO I bought some super bright LEDs. didn't work, came out a pale blue through the dials with concentrated spots where the bulbs where. so then I bought some super white normal bulbs (The ones that have a blue outer surface but glow white. didn't work either, better spread but still a pale blue.

I see the standard bulbs are the old style yellow ones with blue condoms on them. They are alright but I just want brighter to match the new dials.

Any suggestions?

The dial faces have a blue hue impregnated onto them im afraid, so all you can do is add some white 24cm flexible led strips around the 2 main dials, basically forcing the white through.

Take a look in the how to section for the write ups

At a bit of a stab in the dark... The blue hue might come off the back if the dials. Try using a glass fibre pen. You can get them in Halfords scratch repair kits. Did this on a friends focus rs to remove the standard green hue and then just use whatever bulbs he wanted to create the desired colour.

I'm saying all this as a complete guess as I'm not sure what the backs of the clocks are like
