Got a oil temp gauge in my car and nearly all wired up except for the sensor unit itself.

There appears to be a blanked off port next to the oil filter that would be ideal however it doesn't screw directly in.

Who knows what size adapter I need?

An ebay link to the required adapter would really help!

Just ordered myself that sandwich plate adapter. Looks to be the simplest solution and can't see why it wouldn't fit.

I have been wandering if I could use the blanked off hole near the filter for my gauges.

I heard that some of the sandwich plates dont have good seals and the Greddy plate is best. But its £70 from memory which is steap

I'll just have to hope mine seals well than as I didn't fork out £70 for it!

The thread on that blanked off hole is a very coarse thread compared to a typical temp sensor s you will need some sort of adapter. That's what I was hoping someone on here would know where to find one.

I might just take a gamble and get one off ebay as well as like I say £70 is to much imo

Please say if yours does fit mate

Sandwich adapter didn't fit! out of the two sizes it came with, one was too big, the other too small! Having a mini mnightmare with this!

There's must be someone out there that has fitted an oil temp sensor....

How many thingy adapters came wth it?

The first one I bought had two (M18 and M20). One being too small and one being too big.

I have now just bought one with 4 different sizes (a 3/4 being one of them which is just over 19mm). I'm thinking that should fit...

I was going to use that but the threads (although very similar) are slightly different. You were jst lucky I guess. I didn't wanna risk forcing it in there and stripping the thread off.

Done!

Don't be a fool like me and buy the sandwich plate with the two adapters first. Neither will fit. 4 adapters FTW!
