Ok.... following on from my previous thread:

http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/ubbforum/Forum1/HTML/008063.html

I'm Running very rich at low revs, but lean at righer rpm - such that i'm getting pre-det whenever I reach about 12/14psi, but loads of unburnt fuel at low rpm

(555 injectros and ecu btw)

I'm gonna do a ECU giag later to see if that high lights anything.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what I might check? Is there any test I can do on the MAF, TPS, etc??

Can anyone recommend a decide rolling road turner - who won't blow my engine up in the the suffolk / essex area?

I have heard good things about this guy, in fact I hope to be over there soon.

Just an off hand thought, but if your fuel pressure was low, or for whatever reason volume of fuel delivery was low, then you would notice it most at high revs when most fuel is required. Doesn't explain the low revs richness though.

Simon,

Just a thought, you haven't repositioned or fiddled with the fuel pressure regulator have you??? If you have then this will cause all sorts of weird problems like this wink.gif Especially when you connect it back to front wink.gif

Thanks Andy & Andy. I'm about an hour from that place in Basildon - so that might be worth a visit!

Fuel pressure regulator - thats one of those little thumb sized things that has a small piece of vacumm tube that connects to the balance tube innit? If so, then I have havent put them on the wrong way around, but perhaps they need replacing? Afterall - it's been open to the air for a year before being reinstalled

?? Hmmm

If it's connected the correct way round then it won't be doing what I thought... I have seen them connected wrongly once which caused similar problems...

It sounds to me like the chip may be faulty??? Running a stock ecu with those injectors and uprated boost would cause this kind of problem I'd have thought...
