Car hesitates when i lift off throttle

This is realy starting to get on my nerves, my car is fine when accelerating

but when i lift off throttle it starts hopping around all over the place,

you can feel the hesitation, and it keeps hesitating until i accelerate

again, i thought it might have been a dodgy tank of fuel, i even phoned

Shell to complain, but i've filled up again at a diferent service station

and the problem is still there.

Its most noticable at around 3000 rpm and my car does suffer from "engine

honk".

My car is modified and is running as follows,

SE Nissan 15psi mechanical boost upgrade,

SS induction kit,

5zigen Cat-back exhaust

AP Racing paddle clutch,

SE Nissan quickshift,

Please help its driving me mad!

Cheers

Ian

Could be an air leak in the inlet manifold drawing air in under de-acceleration, dirty throttle bodies...erm maybe but unlikely the goose honk will be dodgy re-circs.

I think i've found and cured the problem. Last year at billing i purchased a SS induction kit from a company called Apex r it only cost £70 and now i know why, the front plate of the filter which had a built in venturi cone had fallen off and was lying on the splash guard in front of the rad, this ment that air was bypassing the filter and going straight into the airflow-meter, i've now fixed the flter by pushing the cover plate back on with some silcone sealant to stop it falling off, i took it for a test run and the hesitation appears to have stopped.

I guess the moral of this story is that you get what you pay for!

Thanks anyway Jeff
