Hi guys,

As per the title, it's an imported engine so no chance of finding out through the DVLA.

Cheers

True. I was thinking that knowing would make buying parts easier i.e. sensors, new injectors etc but if it's a mash up then i'll have to remove bits and identify them as I go I guess

There's no difference between an import or uk engine. The only difference is between the auto and manual. The auto TT has different cams and slightly different turbo internals to the manual, this was to make it more responsive with the auto box. I don't know if the NA auto has different cams to the NA manual.

HTH

hayne manuals always help in that field. on my scoob import i got haynes and it gives you complete breakdown of all the numbers and what they mean etc......year and so on........

Cheers Steams, it was more the differences with years I was concerned with things like the fuel rail and the replacement of sensors given that there are something like 5 different types of TPS. It's not the end of the world I just thought it would be easier to know so I could order parts in advance

don't they? isn't there an owners book similar to haynes?

There is a workshop manual, I have the .pdf already but it doesn't really help if I don't get the right one for the year of the engine
