well im in rome now with a bit of a problem i burned a aprk plug and have had a nightmare getting new ones,

which ones do i need?

i think i damaged a piston im going for a compression test tomorrow.

the car has started to smoke white blue.

so i am worried,,

 

anyway we wnet to the nurburgring in germany and i must say it has been the highlight of my life going around there it is so scary, the first feqw times as the porshes come past you like you are looking for reverse i was airborn twise on my first lap and got sidways about 6 times lol i never wanted to go again, but then i slowed down and really enjoyed myself, i was overtaken by a beetle lol

 

anyway it was fantastic ill tell you more when i see you again, we are going first to south africa from here as a few things have come up, then we are going to come back to rome on the 10th oh october, and back to the uk on the 16th so ill see you then, at the moment i am in rome in a n internet cafe that has only one computer lol

 

i raced a ferrari 355 on the germen autobahn and believe it or not i beat him, from about 80mph i pulled away from him and at about 165mph i was about 10 cars lenghts in front of him, he could not believe it himself and was really cross, lol

 

but anyway please find out for me how much a decent set of pistons will cost and who is reliable to have them fitted,

sorry to hear about your misfortune, but good to see you enjoyed driving the Z around the Nurburgring.

 

This is what i found on plugs for you :-

 

All parts are NGK, and the recommended plugs on tt.net seem to be PFR6B-11B for stage 3+ which i think your car definitely is :)

 

Standard type PFR5B-11B

Colder types PFR6B-11, PFR6B-11B, PFR6B-11C

 

As far as pistons go, i am checking up on a local mechanic at the moment, who apparently has a lot of experience in Jap performance cars, but it is friend of friend type thing, so i am checking out properly.

 

Hopefully i'll have news when you get back.

 

Otherwise, i guess some people here will recommend Silvia, but i already know how you feel about them....

 

so you are coming back in october now, rather than september ? okay.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dont forget to gap down to .033 or .032 as well, might help if you are having problems. With all the mods you have.

hi guys thanks for the help , well i had even worse luck i put for new plugs in pfr6

that is what was on the plug (italians go figure and im married to one lol)

well on the way to park the car i think i burnt all 4 as the car started to misfoire terrible and as i turned of the highway it had a lot of smoke out the exhaust so i just stopped and had the car towed to the parking, it is breaking my ha\eart.

anyway i am in south africa here now and i will chat to you soon as i have my pc up and running, chat to you gutys later

did you fill up with some bad fuel or something ?

 

you haven't mentioned it, so i guess you didn't hear any detonation

 

so, is the car still in italy ? or have you got it shipped over to you ?

 

 

 

the car is still in italy parked in a garage. i am going back to italy on the 10 october i will pick the car up and come back to the uk as i have to stay on for a while longer in the uk, i am only checking the scene out in south africa and if things arnt good here i am coming back to my old job in the uk, so hopefully ill see you guys soon, another problem i am going to have is finding pasrking for my car initially so if anyone is kind enough to suggest something ill be happy to herar but if not dont worry.

 

i just hope this lot will not be too expensive as it was a good holiday turning into a nightmaere, to answer the question about detonation iether i am dumb or i just cant here anything, lol hehe

anyway, you guys know the price for those plugs over ther, here they are really cheap 1.50 ounds per plug lol
