Illuminated Reverse Panel..Incorporating 3rd/4th Brake Light

Following on from this thread the other day started by Jaikai, I thought I would do something about it:thumbup1:

I do have 2 of the Nissan Altia reverse light panels here to do and it was always a plan of mine to put one, in the OEM green, on my car, but I am now going to stick with what I have done as I quite like, here are some pics - enjoy.....

Firstly, this is what lights up when I put the lights on

Lights still on along with my led Zedwizz reverse lights, fully recommended by the way.

Next with the fogs on as well, these don't appear red but I assure you they are. You can just see that I have green bulbs in the number plate globes and then there is the green illuminated 'SLICKTOP' number plate light that TwinTurboRich bespoke made for me.

Right, now this is the magic bit....all still on don't forget so I now.......... touch my brakes and the 300ZX logo turns to a bright legal red brake light, the subtle green is actually still on but is swamped with the amount of red led's.

I also have some green smd strips which illuminate my zorsts....better at night these!!

A close up of the reverse panel, now all led blinged up!!

All lights off and the brake pedal depressed, the 300ZX illumination is plenty bright enough to go with the 4 x 21w stock brake lights

And a bit darker with lights back on, this was taken when the panel was not fully fit so there is some light bleed on this one. You can see on this one a bit of a green glow on the floor from the exhaust lights.

I think this modification is very unique as I have never seen it done before, not only in the UK but worldwide.

How as he done it you may ask...well really it is quite simple but I will leave you all to ponder for a while, hope you enjoyed, Andy :cool3:

Not keen on the green. but nice one for trying something new

Green on the panel as you will know is the OEM colour and I have the green theme goin on down the centre at the back and then it fans out around the zorsts  It was all red but I wanted a change  Might do it all in blue but this is the emergency colour and could be risky
