Hi - the problem with modding them this way is when you flash your lights with the headlamps off the HIDs will flash also which is not good.

If you do it as these instructions (a little more long winded to do) then when you have your HIDs on then they will stay on when you flash or switch to main beam - but when you flash with the HIDs off the HIDs will stay off: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=117007

much better :)

seen a mod on austrailian 300 zx about keeping the hids on dip beam on when main beam is on just got 1 question do i leave the red relay out altogether this is the link

I have done this mod, and I have main HID's and full beam filaments. Been going strong for approx 3 years now with no problems....

have you done it just as the austrailian forum says ? and did u take the relay out altogether

Just as the Aus site says matey, and I did not take the relay out. You do this to get the wire in, then place the relay back..... :)

I am gonna get some 80W or 100W filaments for the main beam soon....
